The purpose of the Hydroecology colloquium is to present summarized information on a subject of topical interest, assessing the current state of knowledge and the questions remaining which can determine research orientations for the medium and long term. The colloquia are attended by between 150 and 200 persons and are open to EDF engineers and researchers, to researchers in universities and scientific institutes, to government agents and to specialized consultants. More than half of the speakers and participants come from outside EDF. The variety of themes covered in lectures followed by discussion reflects the diversity in environmental issues under review at EDF.
