Abstract
People who lived near nuclear installations have very contrasted points of view about the impact of low doses of ionizing radiations. Through the expertise implemented by the “Groupe radioécologie Nord-Cotentin”, we examine the usual opposition done between the specialists and the “laymen” about the assessment of risks. From this situation, we analyse the necessary conditions for constructing a pluralist and credible expertise.
